Keeping a Family Cow is a forum I highly recommend as being very active, informative and friendly, with threads covering all aspects of keeping a 'house/family-cow'.  'The Family Cow' forum is the busiest on the website, but don't overlook the  other extremely helpful forums. Many house/family-cow owners frequent this forum and are very welcoming to newcomers.  The forum was the brainchild of author 'Joann Grohman' who penned the wonderful book 'Keeping a Family Cow.' Joann has kept a family cow for many decades and continues to do so in her golden years.  This is one book that every owner of a house-cow should have on their bookshelf.

Another very interesting website about the Jersey Cow is that of Hans Nørgaard
http://www.jersey.syd-fyn.dk/index.php?page=index
Han's has done a tremendous amount of research into the history, both modern and past, of Jerseys.  He covers their presence in many countries.

Lifestyleblock.co.nz is another great website with very active forums.  Kates website covers all aspects of small scale farming.  In the Lifestyle File you'll find many informative articles on animal health written by Dr Clive Dalton and Dr Marjorie Orr.  Well worth a look at the cattle section!
